Berthold Rosenthal (1875 - 1957) was a Jewish, German highschool teacher, genealogist and researcher. He was particularly interested in the Jewish history of the Early Modern Period in Germany. His 1927 book "Heimatgeschichte der badischen Juden - seit ihrem geschichtlichen Auftreten bis zur Gegenwart" is a classic. The book devotes two chapters and an appendix to Stühlingen. Yet, he was not able to unearth much about individual Jews who lived in Stühlingen. He extracted some basic information from the Donaueschingen archives.
