Tree Samuel, Weyl - Donaueschingen is mentioned 18 times between 1683 and 1730. He died around 1730. His designation in the Stühlingen family tree is 'W1'.

After having been expelled from Tiengen in 1683 Samuel moved with his extended family through Stühlingen to Donaueschingen [R1310; 05.11.1683]. Only Isac Schwab and Israel Ulman with their respective families were allowed to remain in Tiengen [R1329; 10.20.1683] . The passage fee, set originally at 20 fl. were subsequently reduced to 3 `Reichstaler`. Meyer Levi in Unterlauchringen paid part of the fee on behalf of the destitute refugees [R1331; 10.31.1683] . But within 27 years Samuel had advanced to court Jew in Donaueschingen, holding both the tobacco and iron trade monopoly [R12; 01.01.1710] , [R13; 01.01.1710]. He had acquired a fine mansion (Schellenberg house) [R7; 01.01.1710]. According to Rosenthal he also served as parnas for the Donaueschingen Jews RR#3:. But after the baptism of his son Leheman [R4570; 01.01.1729] , he was on the protection list only once more [R19; 01.01.1730]. .

1683-05-11Those Jews who are moving away from Tiengen, namely Efrem and the two Samuehl Weihl, pay 10 fl. trespassing customs for seven carts of household items, 19 persons and 20 pieces of cattle.
1697-01-01Model Jew, Samuel of Donaueschingen, Sandel Jew, and his son Marum are fined for physical and verbal injuries.

1700-12-10Samuel Jew (in Donaueschingen) is absolved from a claim of 77 fl. after it turned out that he had paid it by a bull and 30 fl. 13 years ago.
